SYNOPSIS:
"Beatrice "Tris" Prior has reached the fateful age of sixteen, the stage at which teenagers in Veronica Roth's dystopian Chicago must select which of five factions to join for life. Each faction represents a virtue: Candor, Abnegation, Dauntless, Amity, and Erudite. To the surprise of herself and her selfless Abnegation family, she chooses Dauntless, the path of courage. Her choice exposes her to the demanding, violent initiation rites of this group, but it also threatens to expose a personal secret that could place in mortal danger. Veronica Roth's young adult Divergent trilogy launches with a captivating adventure about love and loyalty playing out under most extreme circumstances."
REVIEW:
Divergent. When I first saw it in the bookstore, I said to my self, what an effin' cool cover with all of its fire blazing and stuff in a backdrop of a dystopian Chicago. I then picked it up and bought it without hesitation.
As I got home, I devoured my butt on reading the book. It was an awesome experience!
First I'd love to talk about Beatrice "Tris". I thought that she was going to be another Bella Swan set on the future (I know right?). I thought that she was going to be very weak, and always rely to her lover.
BUT NO!
SHE WAS:
STRONG! - like every girl should be!
BRAVE! - also like every girl should be!
AND TRUE TO SELF - Has she listened to "Born This Way"?
My face was like:
And Tris kept on doing her fierce expressions:
But, anyways, the future wasn't so perfect at all, even if their society is divided into five factions:
And even one choice is not enough to make a perfect world.
And here comes Four.
Tris's faction leader. . .
Tris's sight. . .
Tris's every adjective. . .
I'll not tell much because I'm not a spoil sport. Read this wonderful world of a progressive world with unprogressive differences. It took me not long to finish the book because I was on the edge of my bed (my butt hurt), and I was drawn in and craved for more! LOVE IT!
