GONE by Michael Grant REVIEW

SYNOPSIS:

"In the blink of an eye. Everyone disappears. GONE.

Except for the young. Teens. Middle schoolers. Toddlers. But not one single adult. No teachers, no cops, no doctors, no parents. Just as suddenly, there are no phones, no internet, no television. No way to get help. And no way to figure out what's happened.

Hunger threatens. Bullies rule. A sinister creature lurks. Animals are mutating. And the teens themselves are changing, developing new talents—unimaginable, dangerous, deadly powers—that grow stronger by the day.

It's a terrifying new world. Sides are being chosen, a fight is shaping up. Townies against rich kids. Bullies against the weak. Powerful against powerless. And time is running out: On your birthday, you disappear just like everyone else..."

REVIEW:
I haven't go any clue who Michael Grant is or what the hell the book Gone is. Though in Amazon, I've been browsing to dystopian books which is what I crave for right now. I said, "Oh, it's just one of those Stephen King novels with everything happening in just one snap right?"

Well, my predicaments are wrong!

It's good that I haven't thought that, I do like Stephen King novels, that's why i don't like authors who try so hard to be like him (I don't like to give out names). So, let's get started.

The book started with every adult gone. Just from the first sentence, the teacher is gone! Nada!
They're gone with the wind.

That's where the story drew me.

First off, the premise of the book is very very intriguing. A thought of "How the heck are they going to live in a situation like this?

My reaction without teachers:

That's not me

My reaction without parents:

Still not me

My reaction without any enforcers:

Definitely, this in not me

My reaction on no food:

My reaction on bullies, wars and everything else:

Wooow there!

Back to the review, I thought that the book would be predictable. That every situation is very situational. I thought that I could've guessed the ending (which I did, but I know some didn't).
But it was all wrong. I love the chemistry between Sam and Astrid, though they may have differences, their love mediates things (corny Glenn, very). I also loved the protagonists. Their I dunno, weird in cases to be actuated that I liked very very berry very much. A recommend you to devour your time on reading this book! Leaves you breathless and hungers you more for the second book "Hunger".

FAVORITE QUOTE:
“We didn't Make this World we're just the Poor Fools who are living in it.”

4.5 out of 5 Stars!

Can't resist the Hunger? Here are the sequels to the book which I will review soon!

And the latest cover release:

And "Light" which have no cover yet.... but I'll give you this:
